Internet Use Agreement for HWDSB Equipment

Teaching Students in the 21st Century when integrating technology can sometimes be a challenge, especially when it applies to the safety of our children. HWDSB has in place a board policy regarding the use of school and board computers. This is a reminder to all students with regards to the Internet Agreement Form signed by you and your parents in September. In accordance with the HWDSB's Internet Policy “The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board will provide Internet activity for educational purposes ONLY. Failure to observe these rules will result in loss of computer privileges and/or other consequences consistent with the school code of behaviour." At Dalewood we like to think that we teach children to use equipment and facilities appropriately without having to remove them. This includes Facebook and YouTube, even if our Netsweeper Software is being updated and students can access specific websites, we are still expecting them to adhere to Board Policy and make good choices.
